When does the course start and finish?
You gain immediate access to all course content upon enrollment. Once enrolled, you will have full access to work on it at your own pace. Keep in mind that you will need to schedule the required 12 mediation simulations to receive the mediator Certificate of Completion. Information about how to sign up for the mediation simulations is explained in the course. Upon completion of the required course content, including the simulations, you will take the final assessment. Upon successful completion of the assessment -- which should be simple if you have completed the assignments -- you will receive your Certificate of Completion.
The Master Mediator program includes an additional 2 mediation simulations per month, which you may complete within the timeframe of your subscription.
How long do I have access to the course?
After enrolling, you will have access to all content in the bundle for the duration of your subscription.
Unless you cancel, your subscription will auto-renew. You will receive a reminder before it renews. It is easy to cancel your subscription from year to year, but of course we believe you will love it so much you will join dozens of other mediators who have continued with this program for several years!
What can I do with a Certificate of Completion in mediation?
A certificate may qualify you to mediate in most courts and it often satisfies continuing education requirements for professionals. In most places, there is no process to officially "certify" mediators. Participants should check with local jurisdictions to find out what you may need in order to be an official mediator wherever you may wish to mediate. More than likely, this course will meet or exceed the requirements.
We can guarantee you this: if you finish the IMA New Mediator requirements, you will receive a Certificate of Completion as a mediator.

What kind of education or training do I need before taking this course?
None! There are no prerequisites for the IMA New Mediator Course. People from all backgrounds take mediation training. The beautiful thing is that it does not require you to have special training or degrees. In fact, you'll hear some people with advanced degrees say they struggle to "unlearn" many of the things they've been taught before taking mediation training.

The IMA Master Mediator program is an advanced training designed to professionalize your mediation practice beyond the introductory-level training. In addition to advancing your skills, the course gives you access to insider tips, practical tools, ongoing coaching and live support.
Does this course qualify for continuing education (CLE, CEU, CPE, etc) credits?
The 40-hour IMA New Mediator course may meet continuing education requirements for attorneys, mental health professionals, teachers, accountants, as well as continuing credits for other professions. It is incumbent upon participants to check with the appropriate governing body, agency or jurisdiction.
Live continuing education opportunities are continually delivered through the Master Mediator program each month of your enrollment. Because participation in each event is voluntary, and because this is a subscription program, you will not get a single "Master Mediator" certificate, but something even better: you will receive verification certificates for EACH live event you attend. This way, you may begin acquiring professional development verification immediately upon participate in live events.
More specifically, each time you participate in a live coaching call, webinar or mediation simulation, you will automatically receive verification of your participation by email. (We do not provide certificates for completion of recorded events.) It is possible through this program to acquire many hours of professional development and multiple certificates of completion.
All live training events may qualify for continuing education (CLE, CEU, etc), depending on the governing body, jurisdiction, professional association, employer, etc. to which you submit the verification. It is always incumbent upon the student to work directly with the appropriate agency or governing body to determine whether this program will satisfy their requirements.
How often do you offer this course?
This program is always open for enrollment! You don't have to wait another minute.
What if I can't complete the required mediation simulations?
Participation in the live mediation simulations is mandatory.
It's important that you clear your calendar and ensure you have the proper equipment to participate. If you have regular scheduling conflicts with the simulation calendar, please let us know. We are constantly adding new days and times, as we have coaches in several time zones who may be able to accommodate you and other students in the course.
Most 40-hour mediation courses require participants to clear five full days for instruction. We have created a platform that offers optimum convenience and top-quality mediation training from beginner to advanced levels.
